    Expert IT Project Manager - R&D M&A integration

    Summary

    By playing this strategic and transversal role, you will join a group of project management experts, and manage a project related to the R&D integration of Amadeus Acquisitions.

  • By joining this experienced IT project managers department, you will be instrumental in driving the delivery of the top Amadeus IT projects and programs.

    • Manage a project related to the Amadeus Acquisitions

  • Over the past decade, Amadeus has reinforced and diversified its business by acquiring companies in key sectors: Airline, Travel Distribution, Airport, Hospitality, Payment, Travel advertising.
  • Amadeus is structuring its M&A activities in order to achieve maximum value of acquired companies: perform accurate analysis, define clear business goals and put in place appropriate integration.
  • The CEO Office is driving and securing the overall objectives of the Acquisitions in key areas: Strategy, Finance, P&C, Engineering (R&D), Legal.
  • The transversal group is responsible for the Engineering (R&D) objective: support each acquired company from initial process, through integration, and until transfer to the BU.

    • Your main responsibilities

    A project-oriented approach:

  • Structure the integration around 4 major Engineering domains: Security & Compliance, Quality, Stability, Operations & Engineering excellence
  • Assess, for each acquired company, the current level of maturity on those 4 domains, and define targets aligned with their related BU
  • Define appropriate integration strategy, and execute/monitor through projects.
  • Monitor the status/progress and create a consistent and louder voice of the new members of the Amadeus family.

    • A Support service and Engineering expertise:

  • Be their entry point to navigate across the R&D organizations, and access Engineering tools/solutions/environments/processes/transversal services.
  • Support them to identify needs and opportunities for improvement: propose adapted solutions, compliant with Amadeus policy, and that could be reused and contribute to enlarge the Amadeus Engineering ecosystem.

    • Your role as IT Project Manager

  • Provide Project Management expertise and support to Senior project manager and team.
  • Provide Project Management approach to drive and ensure integration progress, for acquired companies and coming Acquisitions (within the 4 Engineering domains defined above)
  • Contribute to maturity assessment, strategy and targets definitions, cost estimation, arbitration and priorities validation.
  • Closely collaborate with acquired companies (dedicated contacts and specialists), Finance project managers, organizations and trains, CISO key stakeholders.
  • Drive/support key forums, events and meetings (Steering Committees at top management level, progress status meetings by BU and by Domain, ...)
  • Provide clear reporting at top management level, and CEO responsible.
  • Put in place appropriate Risk and Change management.
  • Contribute to Support service for acquired companies: understand/analyze their needs, propose/monitor compliant solutions, contribute to the enhancement of Engineering ecosystem.

    • About the ideal candidate

    Project Management expertise:

  • Master all project management processes and apply the appropriate ones.
  • Planning: Scope, Cost, Schedule, Quality, Risks
  • Execution and Monitoring: define and monitor dashboards/KPIs, manage Risks, drive/facilitate decisions, manage Core Team and appropriate large forums, ensure Communication, provide regular Reporting.

    • ​Agile approach:

  • Be able to adapt and work with teams/organization using Agile methodologies.
  • Interact with SAFe trains, working with SAFe roles (RTE, PO, Architects, Scrum master, PM, ...) and play (transversal) EPIC Owner role when needed.

    • ​Soft skills:

  • Strong communication, leadership, presentation, influencing skills.

    • ​Technical/Functional skills:

  • Global IT knowledge and experience on Security & Compliance, Quality, Stability, Operations & Engineering excellence
