- Préparer les échantillons (enrobage, polissage, attaque chimique) pour des caractérisations optiques métallographiques ;
- Observer et interpréter les microstructures (par microscopie optique) ;
- Pratiquer des essais de micro-indentation (micro-dureté) ;
- Participer à la caractérisation par microscopie électronique ou par diffraction des rayons X
- Analyser les résultats de vos observations et de vos essais, les interpréter et les synthétiser sous forme de notes ;
- Etre responsable d'équipements de laboratoire (comme la machine de micro-dureté), en assurer la maintenance (gestion des besoins en consommables, des pannes avec le service maintenance du centre de recherche...) et l'amélioration, et veiller au respect des règles de sécurité ;
- Utiliser la documentation scientifique et technique dans votre domaine d'activité, qu'elle soit écrite en français ou en anglais ;
- Participer au développement de produits et procédés industriels nouveaux, en relation avec la fabrication et le service qualité ;
- Avoir un rôle d'appui technique aux clients internes (la fabrication et la qualité) sur les produits et les procédés dont vous aurez suivi le développement ;
- Participer à la mise au point de nouvelles méthodes de caractérisation et être fortement impliqué dans les démarches d'amélioration continue.
- Vous pourriez également être amené à utiliser d'autres moyens de caractérisations physico-chimiques pour compléter vos analyses métallurgiques.
- Titulaire d'un diplôme de niveau BAC+2/3 (BTS/DUT/BUT/Licence pro) spécialisé en Traitement des matériaux, Science et génie des matériaux, Mesures physiques, Chimie.
- Connaissances exigées en métallurgie et en techniques de caractérisation.
- Quelques années d'expérience dans une fonction équivalente seraient un plus.
- Niveau d'anglais technique, principalement lecture et écriture
- Vous êtes capable d'argumenter et de convaincre
- Vous avez de fortes capacités d'analyse et de synthèse et faites preuve de rigueur
- Vous êtes curieux, aimez innover et prendre des initiatives
- Vous avez de bonnes capacités de communication et aimez particulièrement travailler en équipe

Ses principaux produits, les billettes, les barres, le fil machine et le fil tréfilé, sont issus de sa propre aciérie, transformés dans son laminoir à chaud et ses tréfileries. Les aciers inoxydables sont caractérisés par leurs hautes propriétés mécaniques. Ils sont utilisés pour la fabrication d'une multitude de pièces, parmi lesquelles les vannes, les composants de turbines, les baguettes de soudure ou les instruments chirurgicaux. Avec plus de 100 ans d'expérience dans la fabrication de l'acier et des travaux de recherche permanents dans le domaine de la métallurgie, l'entreprise garantit aux clients de ses marchés tels que l'industrie automobile, la construction, l'industrie des procédés, l'industrie aéronautique et spatiale, ainsi que la technique médicale, des solutions optimales pour des applications très exigeantes. Vous participez, avec d'autres techniciens et ingénieurs, à la caractérisation de microstructures pour des projets de recherches (d'une durée généralement comprise entre 2 et 4 ans). Ces projets sont appliqués à la fabrication des produits longs en aciers inoxydables (fils ou barres) et aux activités du Centre de Recherche de Framatome.Vous participez, également à des études plus courtes (assistances techniques) en appui aux services qualité/production/commercial.
