    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Nalco Water, world leader in industrial and process water treatment, is looking for a Technical Sales Engineer Area Manager to join our Emerging Markets group in mainland France and Central Africa . The Technical Sales Engineer Area Manager will be responsible for prospecting and providing technical assistance to a portfolio of industrial clients mainly in the agri-food sector (breweries, cane sugar mills, palm oil mills, .

    Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide customers and prospects with a value-added service through technical expertise and technical-economic assessments.
  • Achieve the objectives and turnover set
  • Develop turnover among existing customers and prospects.
  • Lead and train a local team of Application Engineers.

    • The position is based in France, with frequent travel to Central African countries (+-50% of the time).

    Minimum Qualifications:

  • Chemical engineer, chemical engineering or agri-food industries, with initial experience of 3 to 5 years in a technical sales position and ideally team manager;
  • Knowledge, Experience and skills desired
  • Sensitivity and cultural knowledge of Africa would be highly appreciated.
  • Mastery of the French language required.
  • Field spirit, dynamism, motivation, practical sense, pragmatism, organization, autonomy.
  • Relational qualities, taste for contact, ability to communicate with operating executives, technical managers, process departments, etc.
  • Availability, rigor, open-mindedness, team spirit and spirit of initiative.
  • Knowledge of office tools (Excel/Word/PowerPoint)
  • Good level of English
