    Job Title: Senior Systems Administrator

    Location: Paris, France

    Contract Length: 12 months (renewable)

    Schedule: 4 days remote, 1 day on site per week

    Job Description:

    As a Senior Systems Administrator, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining the company's IT infrastructure, with a primary focus on VMWare virtualization and Linux systems. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of our systems while adhering to best practices and industry standards.

    Responsibilities:

    • Design, implement, and maintain VMWare virtualized environments to support our company's infrastructure needs.
    • Deploy VMWare solutions, including vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi, ensuring proper configuration and integration with existing systems.
    • Manage and administer Linux-based systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of servers and services.
    • Monitor system performance, analyze trends, and implement optimizations to ensure efficient operation and scalability.
    • Implement and maintain security measures to safeguard company data and systems, including access controls, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy new systems, applications, and updates while minimizing disruption to business operations.
    • Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members and end-users as needed.
    • Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to facilitate knowledge sharing and training.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a systems administration role, with a focus on VMWare virtualization and Linux systems.
    • Expertise in VMWare vSphere, including experience with virtual machine management, clustering, and performance tuning.
    • Experience deploying VMWare solutions, such as vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi.
    • Proficiency in administering Linux distributions such as CentOS, Ubuntu, or Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
    • Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
    • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation and task scripting.
    • VMware and Linux certifications (e.g., VMware Certified Professional, Red Hat Certified Engineer) are a plus.
