    The EATS team, from the Volvo Group Trucks Purchasing division, is a team of 7 buyers based in France and in Sweden dedicated to securing the delivery of competitive, reliable and sustainable Exhaust After Treatment to our Plants located in Europe (Sweden, Belgium and France). To get successful in this mission, we value long-term and trustful cooperation with our supply partners.

    Our team is driven by the willingness to support each other in the challenges we face, share best practices, and have a high expectation for well-prepared fikas on Thursday morning.

    We are looking for a Project & Commodity Buyer able to reinforce the team from September 2nd 2024. We are located in Saint Priest (France) well connected to Lyon's public transportation. The duration and modalities could be adjusted based on your school's constraints.

    This how you could make an impact


    • Build the long-term purchasing performance plan of the different segments

    • Propose & promote ideas to improve the CO2 Footprint of our supply chain

    • Contribute to the segment strategies

    • Support sourcing & project execution activities

    • Drive price & agreement negotiations with suppliers

    • Manage the team info sharing through digitalization

    • Be an active member of the cross regional buyer network (France, Sweden, USA, China & Brazil)

    • You have a can-do approach: you have a positive mindset, high level of energy, and you are ready to tackle challenges,

    • You like to do business, demonstrate superior communication skills and comfortable in cross-functional and multi-cultural set-up,

    • You are fluent in English,

    • You enjoy managing many parallel activities and you have a target-oriented approach,

    • You are following an engineering or business school academic training, targeting a Master of Science or Business Administration,

    • Former experience in Purchasing, technical background and automotive experience are considered as assets
